Big Finish Doctor Who – The New Eighth Doctor Adventures

The New Eighth Doctor Adventures es una serie de audio dramas de Big Finish, que tienen de protagonista al Octavo Doctor. En Setiembre de 2006, Doctor Who Magazine anunció que Big Finish iba a producir una miniserie de audios con el Octavo Doctor y una nueva compañera Lucie Miller (interpretado por Sheridan Smith), ubicada más tarde en la cronología del Octavo Doctor (después de que deje a sus compañeros Charley Pollard y C’rizz). Esta miniserie fue emitida por la radio BBC 7 empezado el día de Año Nuevo de 2006 y después lanzada en CD. Cada episodio contaba con 50 minutos de duración. Casi todas las historias eran sólo de una parte, con historias de dos partes al principio y al final de la serie.
En 2008, se produjo una segunda temporada, de la cual seis de los ocho episodios se emitieron en la radio BBC 7. Con el lanzamiento de “The Girl Who Never Was” las historias “anteriores” del Octavo Doctor se finalizaron. Una tercera temporada se produjo en el 2009. Los episodios fueron inicialmente publicados como una descarga semanal de 30 minutos de duración y en un CD al final de año. Una cuarta temporada ha sido publicada entre el 2010 y el 2011.
